I’m writing this post on my laptop while my wife, the mother of my children snores away, all exhausted from a long and busy day.
I am so fortunate to have such a kind, beautiful, patient and intelligent woman as my wife. I look at how happy our children are, how at peace they feel… and I know it’s because of the never-ending efforts of this amazing woman sleeping beside me.
I wonder what I did to deserve such a wonderful blessing of a woman in my life.
To tell you the truth, I’m not an easy person to get along with, much less live with on a 24 hour basis. Ask my missionary companions… they can attest to this. But anyone who can endure my constant worry, piles of socks on the end of the bed and fits of neurotic ranting and raving has got to be someone special. And to love me… in spite of them… is something that is very, very hard to find.
So, E. happy mothers day! Sleep well. Although you’re snoring and snoring at the moment, I hope you will know how much I love you.
