GMAT practice – 510

Well, I decided to try my hand at one of those free practice GMAT tests on Princestonreview.com. I was surprised that it took the full four hours to complete the whole thing. Two 30 minute essays and two 41-question multiple choice tests, each taking an hour and half.

After some crunching, I got a 510 from the two multiple choice tests, a 6 for the first AWA test and a 4 for the second AWA test. Not too shabby considering that I’ve never seen data sufficiency tests before… I can get into some lower tier MBA programs in the US with a 510, but if I want to get into UBC or SFU, I need at least a 550 to meet the minimum. York U’s MBA program starts off at 620, averaging 650! BYU averages at 670.

I have a lot of work to do if I want to get into a good school. The princeston guide will help me… as will the official guides.
