Listening to: “They All Laughed” Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong, Verve Records
I must say that I am quite relaxed now, since I’ve finished my part of the presentation. Right now, I’m taking a well deserved break. Blogging, listening to Ella and Louis waiting for my nice cup of Herbal tea to steep with a little bit of sugar melting. Kinda like me melting into my chair.
Just thirty minutes more, then I’ll hit the books with reckless abandon.
Recently, I was promoted to the graveyard shift. You may not see that as a promotion, but this allows me to adjust my schedule so that I can go to school right after my shift. Also, I can now take the bus, giving me two more hours of sleep on the bus. So much more time to sleep, more time for family, more time to study. I’ve been so blessed.
For the first time in a long time, I could now see my wife, AWAKE, unlink my previous shift where I would come home at 2 AM. She’s already sleeping. By the time I would wake up she would already be on a bus to work. But now, I wake up to her inviting me to dinner. Dinner… we can now have dinner as a family now!
Needless to say, I’m really happy. The Lord has blessed me with so many small things. But “By small and simple things, great things are brought to pass”. I will not squander this. I am so thankful that He’s directing my life and opening the doors.
