1. What do you do for a living?
I’m a Technical Support Rep for Shaw Cablesystems
2. What do you like most about your job?
The best thing about working as a TSR is that from time to time, you get to help people new to the Internet find out something that they’ve never done before. For example, “You can check your bank information on the Internet?” or “Wow! I can send a letter to my friends without paying for anything!”
And they’re so happy that they’ve learned something new. It just makes my day.
3. What do you like least about your job?
From time to time, you get people who are just absolutely vulgar and rude while waiting on the phone. I don’t have time for people who insist on using F bombs and abusive four letter words to get their point across. One word of advice: “If you’re rude on the phone, I WILL hang up on you!”
4. When you have a bad day at work it’s usually because _____…
I don’t adequately prepare for work at home. Since I work nights, if I spend time vegging at home all day, I usually don’t have a good attitude at work. I gotta be productive at home to feel good at work.
5. What other career(s) are you interested in?
I’m looking forward to becoming a business manager, project manager, trainer or consultant. Hopefully, as I get my act together again, I’ll qualify for a training position for VOIP when Shaw releases their product.
