Carry on.

I got a letter from an old Missionary Companion

I had some really good companions throughout my mission in Korea. But there was one particular Elder that pointed me in the right direction. I don’t think he realized just how much he helped me at the time, nor would he know that the many life conversations we had during our time together would provide a strong foundation for what I have been doing the past seven years. If you’re out there, Elder, please remember that you have made a profound difference in my life and the lives of my family. You’re important. If you ever catch yourself thinking otherwise, remember me.

Anyway, writing in response to his email, it allowed me to look back at my life for the past seven years since we last saw each other. The past seven years have been a blur of jumbled memories, wonderful memories, dreadful memories and life changing events all rolled up in a huge ball. There was so much I wanted to tell him, but it would be difficult to swallow in just a single email. Life’s good. And I’m happy. There’s so much more that I hope to do and I see the many possible paths that I can take to get there. I guess that’s the gist of what I wanted to tell him. But you can only write so much until it’s just too much! 🙂
