Carry on.

About the Past Part Two

Well, I did it. I managed to tell my wife everything that I could actually remember about my past – in particular, the people that I’ve liked or dated. One thing that I learned is that I have a really really curious wife who is really good at fleshing out the details.

If my wife had the opportunity and the education, she would make an excellent lawyer. She dug deep and got information that I never remembered or recalled.

It was one of the most stressful weeks of my life and I’m glad that it’s over…. I hope! But it’s nice to know that Evelyn knows everything that I remember. Now I don’t have to hide anymore and hopefully… hopefully she will not have any need of digging up the past with me again.

All of this could have been prevented if I only had told the truth from the beginning. Honesty really is the best policy. If you think it’s hard now, try lying or hiding the truth then revealing it years later. It’s so much more harder.

I have to admit, I’m a little bit bummed out right now after revealing everything in just a few short days. Sometimes, I really don’t think I have much to talk about anymore. We’re so busy these days.

On the bright side, in just two weeks, we’re on our way to our very first camping trip – to Tofino/Ucluelet. It’s going to be so much fun! Lots of pictures …. looking forward to the campfires and marshmallows.
